Diary Note - November, 21 2005
Hi all, I had hoped to do a better job of keeping this site updated this year. However as you can see, it just hasn't happened. I've been really busy with my web design business and have not been able to do as much with the music and recording as I had hoped to have done by now.
I will say that I've been to some incredible get-togethers with music friends this year. In May I traveled to Mississippi to see and play worth my friends John and Anji Mcdowell. Their spring fest was a real hoot and was able to play with and visit with a lot of old friends I have seen in years.
I also was able to get some really great pictures of me as well as many great blues artists from the 1984 W. C. Handy Blues Awards hosted by the Blues Foundation in Memphis Tennessee. I was one of the producers of this show from 1982 thru 1986. There are some photos I hope to have up before long from the finale of this show - they also include several shots of yours truely.
Hope you all have a great holiday season!

Diary Note - January, 10 2005
Hello everyone, hope the new year is starting out to be a great one for you. I've been pretty laid back through the holidays, but I've started to get back in pocket and start back to writing - actually i've got 5-6 tunes on my plate that I've been working on, so i hope to have them finished here in the near future. If you've looked at my song list lately, you'll notice I've added several new songs that were completed last year. I've also been talking with my com padre, Rick Malchow in Memphis and will be heading back over there some time end of January to go back in studio and work on Singletree tracks.
J. J. Barnett has got another project he's working on with Wild Mountain Run up in Missouri right now and Rick is out gigging with a Celtic-Irish-Rock Band(??) - I spoke with him today and he said he's having a gas playing according and flute in the group. Musicians will appreciate this - he said on his first gig with them, it was the first time since 1967 that he showed up and could carry every thing he needed in one hand. His accordion and a bag with his flute and odd cables, percussion stuff, etc. Most musicians would be envious of him - I am.
One last note - I hope to add a lot of new info and photos from 2004 to the gallery as soon as I can. Later, Bill |
